Our story

Natalie Goss is a textile and fiber artist creating organic hand embroidered accessories and art. She explores a variety of hand embroidery techniques on functional home décor and personal accessory pieces.

Despite no formal education in the arts, Natalie has been creating with textiles and fibers since a child. She was introduced to knitting by her aunt and Oma and to needlepoint by her mother around the age of 10. She picked up knitting in earnest when she moved to the west coast of Canada in her mid-20s. It started as a way to decompress after a busy work day and quickly turned into a passion for  creating functional wears out of  simple tools that were lovely to touch.

A move back to her home province of Ontario in her late 20s, and a few children later, Natalie turned to a new but related art form – textiles – again for a much needed creative outlet outside of her day-to-day. She taught herself how to sew and started creating a simple but elegant line of home accessories complimented with her hand embroidery and launched her first online shop in 2017.

Gossling Organics, the brand under which Natalie creates, is about returning to a simpler way of life, about how we can use natural materials and simple tools to create classic products to better our lives. Join Gossling Organics on a journey to live a slower, simpler way of life. Small batch, hand crafted textiles.
